Welcome to our humble abodes!

Fire Station 1  "Crash/Fire Station"

Fire Station 1...houses the Aircraft Fire & Rescue crews, Structural Engine-1, and various other emergency response support vehicles to include our Hazardous Materials Response Unit (HM-316).  The Assistant Chief reside here as well.  Station 1 equipment responds to airfield emergencies, structural, wildland, vehicular, and hazardous materials incidents.  Haz-Mat (316) carries a variety of specialized rescue and haz-mat equipment, and can function as a mobile command post.

In a recent initiative, the paramedic and a corpsman (both employed by the Naval Hospital Lemoore) were moved into the fire station.  They are still a part of the FE&S response family, so adding them to our home was more or less logical.  Besides, their spaces at the clinic are getting renovated as well.  Nobody wants to live with asbestos.

Fire Station 1 underwent a $1.4m Milcon renovation.  The stations looks better and has really improved both living and working conditions.

Fire Station 2  "Structure Station"

Fire Station 2...houses Structural Engine-2 & Med-2, a basic life support ambulance.  This station has primary response responsibility for the Administration area of the base.  Engine-2 responds to various types of emergencies (structural, vehicular, wildland, medical, rescues, etc.) and is the primary off-base response unit.

Station 2 was recently upgraded through a renovation contract which helped to accommodate our fire based EMS program.  The project doubled the living conditions and gave fire fighters a larger kitchen and dining space, individual bunkrooms, an ADA compliant bathroom, and improved HVAC systems.

In addition to adding space inside, we also gained a huge carport on the front of the station.  While being more economical than a new set of stalls, it does manage to keep the sun off the extra reserve units.
